There are several blogs out there, that I follow . . . I check these blogs almost on a daily basis. They are my meat for the day, I need them. And then, I realized that I hadn't updated my blog since last September! Where has the time gone? It's like I've skipped my birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's . . . dang!
The football season was great! Shane really loved playing tackle football and is excited for the new season to start. We made some really great friends during the season. And though it wears us out, we really enjoy getting to spend time with our Panther family. Now, it's on to baseball! A new adventure!
The last couple of Thanksgivings we have spent them with my cousins, R.J. and Shelly and their kids at their house. We always have the best time with them. We laugh and play games and cook and laugh some more. While there this year, Shelly introduced me to Scentsy. Now, I had received a warmer and a brick for my birthday from my dad and bonus mom back in October. And thought it was really neat and the scent lasted . . . . forever! But, I didn't pay much more attention to it after that. When we went to my cousins, Shelly told me that she started selling "Scentsy." I kinda blew it off for a day or so and then finally I said, "alright, let me smell this Scentsy stuff." She had all the testers - over 70 scents to smell! I bet we sat on the floor talking Scentsy for over 2 hours. It was amazing! I joined up to be a consultant that same day! And let me tell you . . . this stuff sells itself! Within 2 weeks of me joining, I placed an order for over $750. I have since placed several more orders and had several home parties. I have also recruited one under me to join. I love this stuff! And I hope that one day I can be as good at it as the directors I met this past weekend. My website address is jwall.scentsy.us
Christmas was great! We didn't have to travel this year! My dad and bonus mom decided they would come to our house this year. They surprised us by coming out on Christmas Eve, but since we had the snow and ice . . . what normally is an hour and 15 minute drive, took them over 3 and a half hours to get to our house. So, by the time they got there it was 10:30 pm. We really enjoyed having them there for Christmas morning . . . it was real special!
We had Austin's "January Party" on January 16th and we had a great time. R.J. and Shelly and their kids and my brother surprised Austin and came out Friday night. The boys went bowling Saturday afternoon and then it was time for the party. Overall the party was real enjoyable. The kids played football in the backyard the entire time. I think the last person left at about 3:30 am Sunday morning. There were no tree climbers or police showing up this year . . . it was a pretty calm and relaxing party. A nice change from past craziness.
The year has started out pretty well. Looking forward to Shane playing baseball and the excitement that goes along with that. It's a different feel compared to football.
I promise, I will try to keep this updated. :) Hope you have a wonderful New Year!
Love and blessings!
